COVID-19 Update 03.13

There is a lot of information in the news and online about COVID-19 (the coronavirus).  We know that there is uncertainty, and one of the best ways we can prepare ourselves is by following the advice of credible sources and keeping informed of new developments.

Credit unions have always pulled together against challenges and crises, and the response to COVID-19 is no different.  We have an extensive, national network of experts who are sharing information and guidance with credit unions across Canada.  We are fully aware of the current situation, and monitoring new developments closely, and we will continue to make decisions based on facts.

At Fusion, our key priorities are to:

  • Protect the safety and wellbeing of people in our branches and communities

  • Review our pandemic plans and playbook from a business continuity perspective

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest information and advice

  • Identify and implement early interventions

Our employees have been briefed on what to do if they suspect or confirm exposure to COVID-19.  Our people are our most important asset and ensuring everyone’s safety is our top priority.  We are well-positioned to manage through this time of uncertainty with business practices such as our diverse corporate offices, remote supervision processes, and proficient use of technology for communication purposes.  We are also doing our part with preventative measures, and we encourage regular handwashing, sanitizing common surfaces and areas, and staying home when ill to be able to fully recuperate and prevent the spread of germs and infection.

Our members can rest assured that we offer many products and services to ensure effective money management if individuals are unable to attend one of our branches.  Please click here to review the complete list on our website.  We would be happy to discuss these options in further detail – just give us a call or send an email to the contact information below:
